10 Red Hot WWE Romances That Were Dropped Way Too Soon

1. Trish Stratus & The Rock

The Rock was arguably the most popular in the company in late 2001. Trish Stratus was, without question, the most popular diva on the roster. Therefore, you might think, it only made sense that the two would become something of an on-screen item in December of that year. The romance came about when The Rock saved Trish from having to join the Vince McMahon Kiss My Ass club. Trish thanked The Rock backstage the next week on Raw and, as a way of saying 'you're welcome' The People's Champion planted a lip lock on the Women's Champion. The Rock/Trish relationship was teased a couple more times on TV, including at the Vengeance PPV when Trish went into The Rock's locker room to wish him luck in his upcoming match, but it was quietly abandoned soon after. It's difficult to say whether or not WWE had any further plans for the angle or if it was just done to pop the crowd and get people talking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Txoi4aqulEc
