10 Red Hot WWE Romances That Were Dropped Way Too Soon
10. Kelly Kelly & CM Punk
The CM Punk/Kelly Kelly pseudo-relationship from 2006 was very strange and very, very brief. In September, the young exhibitionist Kelly (Kelly) was shown to have developed feelings towards Punk, much to the annoyance of her over-protective boyfriend Mike Knox. Although you really can't blame him, can you, considering Punk's reputation with the ladies. She continuously flirted with Punk and watched his matches from the crowd until big Mike put a stop to it. Kelly then dressed as Punk for a Diva Halloween costume contest, which just about tipped Knox over the edge, leading to a match between the two. During the match Kelly cheered on Punk and you began to feel a little sorry for Knox. Punk and Kelly were also paired together on house shows but then, nothing. The angle was dropped. There was no big payoff and the two went their separate ways. Perhaps WWE, who were not high on Punk at this time, felt that the Straight Edge Superstar didn't 'deserve' to be paired with Kelly, or something equally stupid (hey, they did have him lose a meaningless match with Hardcore Holly to end his winning streak). Life apparently imitated art some time later and Punk and Kelly were rumoured to be a real-life item.
