7. Trish Stratus & Jeff Hardy

The romance first started during the invasion storyline when Trish and Lita were feuding with WCW's Torrie Wilson and Stacy Keibler. Unfortunately, Trish suffered a bad ankle injury and the storyline was dropped just as quickly as it started. The two love birds got a second shot at it a couple of years later. Jeff saved Trish from an attack by Stevie Richards and Victoria on the March 17th, 2003 Raw and then kissed her as he was leaving the ring. Stratus would return the favour on future episodes and the romance was once more. Trish and Jeff were shown getting cosy backstage, competing in intergenda tag team matches and kissing. A lot. WWE writers seemingly couldn't get enough of Jeff and Trish kissing, which must have made them uncomfortable considering they were both in long-term relationships at the time. Not once during this whole episode was their previous relationship acknowledged by WWE. The storyline was suddenly dropped in April when Jeff Hardy was released. Who knows where the Jeff Hardy/Trish Stratus relationship would have gone? We don't know and, it's fair to say, WWE probably didn't know either.
