The tale of Paige in WWE is one of triumph and of tragedy.

One of the brightest female stars in a generation, the Norwich native became the first-ever NXT Women's Champion in 2013 aged just 21. The next year, Paige won the Divas Championship in her very first main roster match, upsetting AJ Lee the night after WrestleMania XXX.

She would trade the title back and forth with AJ throughout 2014 and would be a key part of the Women's Revolution as a friend and enemy to the likes of Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.

In 2016, things started to take a downward turn for the young wrestler. She disappeared from TV in June with no explanation, but it was eventually revealed by her mother that she was actually injured.

Paige later revealed that she would be undergoing neck surgery, an announcement that coincided two violations of WWE's Wellness Policy.

Paige made her comeback after over a year away as the leader of Absolution and was seemingly set for big things. Sadly, less than one month later, an errant kick to the back from Sasha Banks at a house show put Paige on the sideline once and for all.
