10 Returning WWE Wrestlers Who Immediately Re-Injured Themselves
3. Samoa Joe
The wrestling gods are clearly not fans of Samoa Joe.
The former star of TNA and ROH has had mixed success since making the jump to WWE. He was a two-time champion in NXT and has won the United States Championship twice since being called up.
In August 2018, Joe got hurt at a house show which kept him out until October. After just two months back in the ring, Joe suffered a foot injury that kept him away for four months, meaning that he missed out on WrestleMania 34.
Then in 2019, Joe broke his thumb during a match. Whilst recovering from this injury, he spent time as a colour commentator on Raw, which was actually integrated into his return when he was attacked by AOP and put through the commentary desk.
However, because we can't have nice things, two months later Joe was put out of action once again after a bizarre incident. He was filming a commercial for WWE when a table break spot when wrong, giving him a concussion.
Joe is still out at time of writing with his in-ring future hanging in the balance. Thankfully, he's a popular commentator, so fans haven't missed out too much.
