10 Ridiculous Finishes To WWE And WCW World Title Matches

6. Uncensored 1999 - Hulk Hogan vs Ric Flair - First Blood Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match For The WCW World Heavyweight Championship

After Hogan beat Flair for the WCW title at Superbrawl IX with the help of Ric Flair's son David, a rematch was booked to continue the feud at Uncensored 1999. Following the Uncensored gimmick of wacky stipulations, the decision was made to make it a first blood match in a steel cage, surrounded by barbed wire. As Ric Flair often does, he started to bleed 5 minutes into the match, while referee Charles Robinson decides to completely ignore the first blood stipulation of the match. Minutes later Hogan also starts to bleed, the ref continues to do absolutely nothing. The match continues, Arn Anderson slides a tire iron into the ring, Flair promptly bludgeons Hogan with it. He applies the figure-four leglock and pins an unconscious Hulk Hogan for the win. So it's a first blood match, but the blood aspect was ignored. It's in a steel cage, but interference happened anyway. Hogan's pin attempts were ignored because of an order Ric Flair gave to Charles Robinson on Nitro, while Charles was happy to fast count for Flair. If Flair had WCW in his pocket and Hogan couldn't pin, Hogan never had a chance to win the match. This doesn't make any sense. The mess of stupid stipulations, poor execution and explanation makes this one of the most nonsensical title matches to ever headline a pay-per-view.
