7. Vince McMahon Buying Newcastle United

Shifting focus from biting grown men and wrestlers turned into escorts, here's one which is nonetheless still a little barmy. Vince McMahon, the owner of WWE, has always enjoyed attempting to branch out from solely operating in the business with which he has earned his fortune, pro wrestling. Looking to turn his hand to other ventures, including bodybuilding, supplements, American football and even the bar and restaurant business, McMahon has failed in pretty much all of those ventures, but you have to give the guy credit for trying. Last year, if you were a Newcastle-supporting wrestling fan, you likely couldn't believe what you were reading. McMahon had reportedly been checking out the English Premier League football team as a possible purchase, becoming the next American owner of a major British sporting institution. Thus far, it hasn't happened, but that doesn't mean it won't at some point in the future. Wrestling fans may already be plotting to buy tickets for that Pay-Per-View at St. James' Park.
