10 Ridiculous WWE Urban Legends You Need To Stop Believing

1. Savage and Stephanie€™s Secret Relationship

Randy Savage Stephanie Mcmahon This is the big one, folks. This is the legend that has been covered from top to bottom across so many wrestling avenues. There have been interviews, reports, blogs, shoot interview discussions and more about the supposed relationship Randy Savage had with a then seventeen year old Stephanie McMahon. Sometimes the rumor changes it to fourteen just to make it even more controversial, but for the purposes of this article, we'll say seventeen. According to some reports, Vince had no idea that the relationship had gone on until years after Savage left the company. Because Savage never returned to WWE after leaving in 1994, the rumor mill churned out all kinds of reasons as to why Savage would stay away from Vince even when WCW came to an end by 2001. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hsey9lagnwU In 2002 Savage released a video that basically ripped on Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. During the video, Savage says that he would like to give Stephanie a kiss €œfor old time sake€ and from there the rumors ignited about what kind of relationship the two previously had. An episode of Wrestling Observer Radio from 2009 with Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed the rumor. They both claimed that it€™s the only reason that makes sense, and so now everyone believes that it's real. That was five years ago, and still the Savage/Stephanie rumors keep making the rounds to this very day. However, there have never been anything resembling confirmed reports of this urban legend being true, and unless Stephanie is willing to talk about it one day, it should be considered a wild rumor that definitely probably never happened. Maybe.
