10 Ring Of Honor Matches WWE Fans Must Watch Before Kenta's Debut

7. vs. Matt Sydal (The Bitter End)

The former Evan Bourne was still on the rise in ROH in 2006. He had just come off a successful stint taking over for Alex Shelley in the Generation Next stable, and was starting to form a partnership with Christopher Daniels based off mutual respect from a series of singles matches they had previously. Of all the choices of opponents KENTA could have on this night, Sydal wouldn€™t have been at the top of the list. So needless to say, Sydal had something to prove. Both men were similar in that they were lightning-quick in the ring and could fly. Sydal hung toe-to-toe with KENTA throughout the match, absorbing the punishing kicks and hitting KENTA with an aerial assault throughout the match. A big highlight of the match came where Sydal reversed the Go 2 Sleep into a sort of West Coast Pop huracanrana into a pin attempt. It was only two, but the fans in Philadelphia could have sworn it was three. KENTA ended up getting the win with a Go 2 Sleep that connected. The match stole the show.
