10 Ring Of Honor Matches WWE Fans Must Watch Before Kenta's Debut

2. w/Tyler Black vs. Austin Aries & Katsuhiko Nakajima (Take No Prisoners 2009)

The night after the Match of the Year Candidate that wasn€™t supposed to happen, KENTA found himself in a traditional main event. It would be for the final ROH Pay Per View that was taped (before they would go to live iPPVs that December), and much like the first one, he found himself in a tag team match teaming with a ROH up-and-comer against another Japanese wrestler and a ROH mainstay. The up-and-comer this time was Tyler Black (Seth Rollins), the Japanese opponent was his new rival Katsuhiko Nakajima, and the mainstay was Austin Aries, who had recently turned cowardly heel. As with many of KENTA€™s tag team matches, the match was made by the different interactions between the opponents. The best interaction came between KENTA and Austin Aries. After KENTA and Nakajima put on a display where they continued kicking each other in the chest for a solid two minutes, Aries tagged in and demanded that there be no kicking, but rather good old fashioned wrestling. After wrestling for a little bit and having KENTA get the better of him, Aries slapped KENTA in the face, then proceeded to run around the ring, avoiding KENTA. When KENTA finally got his hands back on Aries, he kicked him hard in the chest, which brought the crowd to their feet as they had been waiting for the dastardly Aries to get what was coming to him. The match further legitimized Tyler Black as a main event competitor in ROH, a development that has contributed to his success as Seth Rollins in the WWE.
