10 Rivalries That Will Define WWE In 2021

5. Asuka Vs. Charlotte Flair

Asuka has been one of the major highlights of the last year in WWE.

During the early days of silent Performance Centre shows, Asuka brought significant life and atmosphere to every show she was booked on, helping to adjust fans to the strange and disillusioning ambience of the setting. Since becoming Raw Women's champion, she's had amazing matches with Sasha Banks and helped bring some stability to a depleted Raw roster.

She has significant history with Charlotte Flair, even before their tag team championship victory at TLC 2020. Flair ended Asuka's undefeated streak at WrestleMania 34 in one of the most bizarre booking choices of the modern era, cost her a World title defence at WrestleMania 35 by defeating her on an episode of Smackdown, and briefly feuded with her on Raw in 2020.

With their excellent tag team on borrowed time, a heel turn for Flair feels imminent and the two picking up where they've left off as rivals would feel right. There would be such power in Asuka making the Queen tap out on the grandest stage of them all, considering their experiences together, and they could easily put on the best women's rivalry of 2021.
