10 Rivalries That Will Define WWE In 2021
4. Shinsuke Nakamura Vs. Roman Reigns
Shinsuke Nakamura's recent face turn has invigorated life back into the sensational superstar. His performance in the recent gauntlet match on Smackdown was his best individual performance in a long time, wrestling with intense fire and successfully turning back into a babyface role over the course of the match. Fans were so reactive throughout the gauntlet for Nakamura as a good guy and since the turn (on socials anyway), that speculation over whether or not this'll lead to Nakamura's first main roster World championship has dominated wrestling conversations.
It's so clear that the WWE fanbase is ready for him to move back into the main event as a top babyface and due to the interference at the end of the aforementioned gauntlet, he seems destined to fulfil that potential with Roman Reigns.
The two have history together, with Roman being the last man Nakamura eliminated on his path to winning the Royal Rumble, and it seems fitting that Roman be the opponent that determines if Nakamura will reach Grand Slam status. Both are two of the greatest workers that modern wrestling has to offer and will undoubtedly put on modern classics together.
