8. Luke Harper
Bray Wyatt's former right-hand man has always looked like he was a better fit for the independent circuit, if only because a murky vest teamed with a pair of baggy trousers isn't exactly the typical get-up of a WWE star.
As it turns out, Harper did get his start on the independent scene, including a brief stint in the ROH ring between 2008 and 2009, during which - inevitably - he became a devoted disciple of a shady, and slightly unhinged, cult. This time, however, it was Jimmy Jacobs' "Age of the Fall".
In singles competition, he is mainly remembered for a short run alongside fellow lunatic Necro Butcher, in a run that otherwise has strong parallels with his time in WWE (so far, anyway). Some, it seems, are just meant to follow.
