Pro wrestling has long been fascinated with racial characters. WWE don't take the blame for this; the industry has been presenting such a 'foreign menace' idea seemingly since the dawn of time. One such character in the modern era was Muhammad Hassan, a gimmick which left fans feeling ill at ease as opposed to full of hatred.

Introduced in late-2004, Hassan was an Arab-American wrestler who held resentment towards North America for poor treatment following the 9/11 terror attacks. Not only was the subject matter arguably too heavy for wrestling, it felt a bit off to be booing someone solely for feeling outcast by a society he had grown up in.

Come the 2005 Royal Rumble, every star in the ring stopped when Hassan made his way to the ring. Ganging up on the heel, the likes of Rey Mysterio, Booker T, Chris Jericho, and Eddie Guerrero eventually eliminated Hassan.

It's likely WWE want everyone to forget the Hassan gimmick entirely, including this oddly racist-feeling Rumble moment.
