Aside from appearing in a few Royal Rumbles together, the legendary Shawn Michaels and late, great Eddie Guerrero somehow never competed in a match against one another. But there was actually a moment in time when it looked like that surely outstanding dream match was on the verge of becoming a reality at 'The Showcase of the Immortals'.

On the weekend of Guerrero's tragic passing in November of 2005, former WWE writer Court Bauer actually recalled being involved in a writer's meeting where the idea of 'The Heartbreak Kid' and 'Latino Heat' wrestling at WrestleMania 22 was mentioned.

Everyone in the room reportedly loved it, because how could they not? You had two of the greatest in-ring technicians and all-round performers potentially throwing down at the biggest show of the year.

Now, there's your WrestleMania Moment.

It was apparently even made official, but Guerrero's death that same weekend obviously forced a change of plan. Rather than a technical masterpiece between two of the best to ever do it then, fans were put through another Vince McMahon 'Mania showing as HBK met his boss in a No Holds Barred match instead.
