10 Secret WWE Pasts Of AEW Wrestlers

MJF looked legitimately livid when he was thrust into the wall by then-NXT Champion Samoa Joe, and why wouldn't he?

The man's the "salt of the earth" after all, what did he do to take such a pasting from the 'Samoan Submission Machine' ahead of his clash with Shinsuke Nakamura at 2016's TakeOver Brooklyn II? Nothing, really, but like every extra or talking prop working for WWE he was required to take his lumps from the focussed talent. Now set to be a breakout star for All Elite Wrestling, the riotous heel couldn't respond when he was little more than a security stand-in but stretched his fingers out to avoid clenching his fist on that day.

As usual, MJF's funniest and most revealing actions took place without the knowledge of his primary victim. Hiding in plain sight alongside Cody Rhodes ever since, the scarf-sporting sleaze has mastered this level of discretion - at long last NXT can claim the successful talent development of a performer that's gone on to do things outside of the McMahon empire.
