10 Seriously Overlooked WWE Heels

7. Jeff Jarrett

Given that the guy hasn't been seen in the company since 1999, it makes sense to believe that Jeff Jarrett will never wrestle again for WWE. That latter run was steeped in misogyny, Jarrett even fell to Chyna in his final pay-per-view bout at No Mercy in October, '99.

Roll back the clock a few years before that, and Jarrett again had some real potential as a top heel. Properly debuting in late-1993, Jeff was said to be a snobbish country singer who planned on using the WWF as a launching pad into a successful music career. As ridiculous as the concept was, Jarrett played it to perfection.

Scathing boos accompanied any 'Double J' performance, fans just loved to see him get his comeuppance. That heat should have been recognised a little more by those making the big decisions behind the scenes, Jarrett would have been - for example - a much better opponent for Diesel at SummerSlam 1995 than the calamitous Mabel.

That was the way of it for Jarrett during his WWF run, he was consistently overlooked for others.
