The Undertaker has not been seen on WWE programming since he was defeated by Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30. The sight of The Deadman's shoulders getting counted down thus ending the streak, is an image that is indelibly frozen in the minds of fans. Undertaker went out on his back, the way any professional wrestler wants to do. He gave back to the company that made him and to the business that he loves. But was that truly the final curtain call on Undertaker's storied career? Is the Phenom finished in WWE? Most signs point to yes but before we shake the Magic 8 Ball again, we must consider that the number of top tier talents left for Taker to face have grown very thin. He's beaten Ric Flair, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Randy Orton, Kane, Batista, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, CM Punk and countless others. With the exception of The Rock, John Cena and perhaps Chris Jericho, there is really no one on Taker's level that could bring the big money payday that WWE is accustomed to. But all of that has changed now. Sting's entrance into WWE is a new day for the company and for The Deadman. Now, The Undertaker has one more big name to face, one more opportunity for a major showdown with an established star. Sting wants the match and you can be sure that WWE wants to promote it. An unexpected appearance at Battleground could be the perfect moment for Undertaker to make his presence known and to perhaps even reference Sting either in a promo or by simply just staring up to the rafters. Either way, the moment would fuel speculation and ignite fan interest in the biggest dream match of all time like never before.
