Kevin Nash and Scott Hall hit the jackpot in WCW.

Both have recalled during various shoots that the promotion flapped when they caught wind of the WWF's bid to 'bring Razor Ramon and Diesel back' in late-1996. Instead of asking the pair their intentions, or realising that they'd just signed huge contracts with WCW, management offered them a new and improved deal for more money.

Nash fondly remembers standing in the backstage area for Nitro and watching Jim Ross welcome 'Razor and Diesel' back into the WWF family. When Rick Bognar and Glen Jacobs strolled out in costume, Kev says that everyone's faces fell - even Eric Bischoff had been duped by the attention-seeking PR stunt.

Hall has also joked that he should thank Bognar for putting a little more cash onto his contract by going cosplay on Raw. WCW legit believed there was a chance that the nWo duo might try to pull a fast one and defect back to the WWF.

Uh uh.

Even if this is mere wrestling apocrypha, that it's so eminently believable says rather a lot.
