10 Shocking (But Believable) Theories About WWE In 2016

1. The Undertaker's Last Ride

The Theory: That WrestleMania 32 will see the legendary Undertaker's very last professional wrestling match. The Evidence: Look, people have been eulogising the Deadman's career for years. Some were writing him off as far back as the late 90s, when the injuries started to pile up and Mark Callaway was forced to take more and more time off. Of course, The Undertaker showed his critics up by not only coming back but actually getting better as the years went by. The super-worker that graced WWE rings between 2005 and 2010 was nothing like the slow and plodding performer who stunk out the joint on many occasions during the Attitude Era. Even since 2010 and his classic with Shawn Michaels, 'Taker has continued to deliver the goods, despite more of those unwelcomed injuries. He's worked classics with Triple H, CM Punk and Brock Lesnar and in 2015 he looked completely revitalised. Yes, Undertaker was working more dates than he has in a while and his pair of PPV clashes with Brock were awesome, but it still doesn't ignore the fact that 'Taker has been bordering on retirement for a while. The 2015 Rest in Peace tour had an air of finality about it and, with WrestleMania being in his home state of Texas next year and with 100,000 fans potentially filling the AT&T, what better way to go out? Will It Happen: We seem to say it every year, and it never happens, but 2016 really could be the year. WWE could even bill it as a 'retirement match' or 'loser must retire' match in order to significaly drum up interest. There are sure to be more Network subscriptions placed if there's a chance to see The Undertaker's very last match. Really, what else is there for him to do? He's done it all in WWE and, while there's still a novelty to seeing him perform, it's gotten to the point where performances like those against Lesnar are the exception and not the rule. Undertaker and WWE should consider having him ride off into the sunset on April 3rd, consiering how perfect the location is. I wouldn't be surprised to see The Phenom headline WrestleMania one final time.
