10 Shocking Things You Learn Binge Watching Every ECW PPV

2. The RVD/Jerry Lynn Stuff Still Holds Up

Some pro wrestlers were made for one another.

Rob Van Dam and Jerry Lynn relished the chance to showcase their quite stunning levels of in-ring chemistry on ECW pay-per-view. The pair worked some bouts for TV too, but it's matches at Living Dangerously and Hardcore Heaven 1999, Heaven in 2000 and Guilty As Charged 2001 that get the most love.

All of them are valid in their own unique ways. RVD and Lynn were really in a groove by the third one - the fourth is maybe a bit weird because it clearly came across as a swansong moment for ECW, but it's still a great watch and acts like a 'Best Of' highlight reel for the prior scraps.

The best thing about all of these matches is that you could stick them on AEW or WWE television today and people would enjoy them. There's nothing dated about the slick chain wrestling exchanges, or RVD's car crash-style bumping spots.
