https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Afr0xwde0Aw You can't help but get the feeling that WWE won't be adding Robocop to the WWE alumni any time soon, but the sci-fi character really did make an appearance in WCW to join forces with Sting. It sounds absurd and it was, the movie screen cyborg coming to the WCW ringside and selling his behaviour as if he really was a cybernetically engineered human. It all went down at WCW's 'Capital Combat: The Return of Robocop' pay per view in May 1990. Robocop 2 was coming out at the cinema on June 22nd, so WCW and the film studio decided to do a tie in. Sting found himself under attack from the four horsemen at the show, locked into a cage at the outside of the ring. That led to the heroic Robocop coming out to save the day, tearing the cage apart and posing with Sting. In retrospect this all looks beyond daft and it certainly won't be part of Sting's 'wrestling' career he wants to remember. To add to the ridiculousness Robocop's leg fell off on exiting the scene.
