10. Hulk Hogan Defeats The Warrior - Halloween Havoc 1998
WrestleMania VI featured one of the biggest main events in wrestling history. It was dubbed The Ultimate Challenge as WWF Champion Hulk Hogan faced Intercontinental Champion, The Ultimate Warrior with both championships on the line. Hogan had been the top dog in WWF since his first title win in 1984, but The Ultimate Warrior was proving to be just as popular with the fans as The Hulkster, so a clash of the titans was set for the biggest show of the year. The Ultimate Warrior won the bout at WrestleMania, and would hold the championship for nearly a year. It seems that Hulk Hogan could never quite let that go, even when he went to WCW. Ultimate Warrior was brought into WCW and hyped up as the man to take down Hulk Hogan and the nWo. After tormenting Hogan in the run up to their match at Halloween Havoc, fans around the world groaned in disappointment when the match ended due to interference from Hogans nephew Horace, and Hulk got the win. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xu7pp_hulk-hogan-vs-ultimate-warrior_sport Its a match thats considered by many to be one of the worst in WCWs history. Mean Gene Okerlund described it as a disaster and even Eric Bischoff admitted that it pretty much stunk up the joint. Warrior discussed the match recenty with WWE and revealed "They used Turner's chequebook to buy me to come back to lose a match to Hulk ." Hogan has long been accused of putting his own ego above WCWs best interests, and this is easily the most egregious example.
