9. Nobody At Home Gets To See Goldberg vs DDP Ending - Halloween Havoc 1998
In 1998, the two biggest babyfaces in WCW were Diamond Dallas Page and Goldberg. Goldberg burst on the scene and immediately wrecked everything that stood in his way, going on an unprecedented undefeated streak and picking up the United States Championship, and eventually the World Heavyweight Championship. DDP was the charismatic peoples champion who won the crowd over with his dynamic finishing maneuver The Diamond Cutter which he could hit on anyone, anywhere at anytime. When DDP won the 1998 War Games match at Fall Brawl, it earned him a shot at Goldberg and the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Octobers Halloween Havoc. The two would have a barn-burner of a match, and it was one of Goldbergs toughest tests yet. While Goldberg did win the match to keep his undefeated streak alive, it wasnt what thousand of viewers saw on their television sets. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xf77t8_ddp-vs-goldberg-halloween-havoc-199_sport While most wrestling pay-per-views run for three hours Halloween Havoc 1998 ran an extra half-hour and as a result for many viewers across America, the pay-per-view feed was stopped and fans didnt get to see the end of this match. Fans who missed out did get their money back, and WCW ran the main event in its entirety on the next nights Nitro which gave them the win over Monday Night Raw that week, but it was the last time they would ever beat WWF in the ratings.
