10 Shocking WWE Raw Moments You Never Saw Coming

8. Eric Bischoff’s Arrival (15 July, 2002)

Say what you will about 'Easy E,' who had no shortage of questionable business practices, but was always an awesome onscreen performer - especially in WWE.

The idea of Bischoff and Vince McMahon ever coming together was unthinkable. They were at each other's throats throughout the Monday Night Wars, with the WWE Chairman publicly basking in WCW's (and, by extension, Bischoff's) demise after putting them out of business. Still, Eric's eventual Raw arrival stands as proof that you can never say never in professional wrestling. If there's money to be made, McMahon usually finds a way to make the deal, and Bischoff turned out to be one of the most effective General Managers in company history.

It helped that both parties went to great lengths to keep it a secret, too, with Bischoff holding his tongue for a full month before debuting. Then, on the night of the reveal, Eric was smuggled backstage in a car, and guided through the building with a towel on his head to prevent the news hitting the internet at the last minute. It paid off, and the unveiling still resonates today.
