10 Most Shocking WWE Releases This Decade

6. Kaval - Released On December 23, 2010

TNA.comWWE.comKaval is an incredible talent who has wrestled the world over. He has a compelling, and crisp in-ring style along with a uniquely deep voice. He had the potential to be a big star for WWE. Unfortunately for him, WWE likes to mess with people that gain their popularity from other companies. Sure, he won the second season of NXT, but he was paired with LayCool for the journey. As the winner of the competition, he got to choose to fight for any WWE he wanted to. For some boneheaded reason, creative had him go after the Intercontinental Title. Why would anyone in their right mind choose that over the WWE title? Well, after joining the SmackDown brand, he lasted three months before leaving the company. Kaval has always been known to be a bit of a headache behind the scenes, and perhaps WWE wasn€™t that interested in making him conform to their system. Despite showing a lot of potential, they decided to let him go. Apparently the release was mutual, but that doesn€™t make his abrupt departure any more shocking.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
