One-legged wonder Zach Gowen had a very short but very memorable run in WWE between May 2003 and February 2004. Gowen was immediately thrust into the thick of things, sharing the screen with the likes of Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon himself, who he had a memorable match with at Vengeance. Gowen wrestled WWE Champion, the 'real' Brock Lesnar, in a singles match on the August 21st episode of Smackdown. Gowen got approximately one offensive move in before he was destroyed by Lesnar, who F-5'd Gowen's leg into the ring post, twice, (kayfabe) breaking it. It was a vicious beating and really put Lesnar over as a heel. Things got worse for Zach (who was now using a wheelchair) on the next week's show when he bumped into Brock backstage. Lesnar was on the warpath and threw Gowen out of the chair, attacking the leg while doing some serious trash-talking. It was uncomfortable at that point, but the angle got tipped over the edge when Lesnar placed Gowen back in the chair, choked him with his t-shirt and pushed him (actually a stunt man) down a flight of the stairs. Lesnar's heelish huffing and puffing was a little cartoonish at times, but it was a very realistic and uncomfortable segment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvOVMxQTT_o
