10 Shocks We Might See At WWE Night Of Champions 2014

8. Cody Rhodes And Goldust Will Win The Tag Team Titles

We may have personally witnessed the death of the tag team division in WWE when the New Age Outlaws defeated Cody Rhodes and Goldust at the Royal Rumble. Rhodes and Goldust were riding a huge wave of momentum, having great matches with everyone and coming off of a hot feud involving the Authority and their legendary father, Dusty Rhodes. Goldust, in particular, seemed to be 27 years old again, flying around the ring with energy not seen in over a decade and working his tail off to bring his brother along as a worker. Then, because this is WWE, we had to make a change. At the Rumble, the Old Age Outlaws defeated Cody Rhodes and Goldust in a result that may have gotten a nostalgia pop from the audience but was the worst possible booking decision. Since then, the titles have moved to the Usos and the division ground to a halt. Rhodes and Goldust never regained their momentum, even after Cody switched over to the weird and bizarre Stardust gimmick. Then, to make matters worse, WWE turned Goldust and Stardust heel because there were literally no other challengers for the titles outside of the Wyatts. The whole thing has been thrown together so quickly that no one has the chance to get any heat. Never mind the fact that the crowd cheered for Star and Goldust when they turned on the Usos. So, since the Usos haven't exactly been lighting the world on fire as champions, the belts will most likely change hands and the Rhodes brothers will rule once again.
