10 Shocks We Might See At WWE Night Of Champions 2014

9. The Miz Wins The Intercontinental Championship

It's not exactly a secret that I have never been a fan of the Miz. He's boring in the ring, lacks any semblance of crowd heat, was a terrible World champion, participated in one of the worst main events in Wrestlemania history, and doesn't look like he could beat up my grandmother on a good day. For someone who has a gimmick based on their charisma, he has nowhere near enough of it to make anyone in a live crowd care about him. So obviously, WWE will put the Intercontinental title back on him. For whatever reason, they are determined to get the Miz over as a movie star jerk, despite the fact that the last few years have proven that no one wants to buy a ticket to see the Miz...ever. Now, they have added Damien Sandow as the Miz's "stunt double" in a gag that only entertains the hack writers who come up with this stuff. Seriously, you hire comedy writers to write a wresting show, which is stupid enough, but then the stuff the comedy writers write isn't funny. I'm not a billionaire (and neither is Vince anymore) but that seems to be one of the easiest problems to correct. Anyways, WWE seems determined to get this stupid gimmick over so they'll probably job Dolph Ziggler yet again because, hey, who cares, right? Ziggler is one of the best athletes on their roster, has all the tools necessary to be a successful pro wrestler, and actually cares about putting on great matches every single time he's in the ring. Oh, get this, the crowd actually likes him too. So what will WWE do? They'll have the Miz win and assume that will get him over as a heel because he beat a crowd favorite.
