4. Ziggler's Comeback
It'd be hugely anti-climactic if Ziggler's retirement angle culminated with him returning just a month later at the Royal Rumble before taking an early bath after being eliminated by, say, John Cena.
And yet, you can't completely rule out that possibility, partly because nobody does anti-climaxes quite like WWE, and partly because the former United States Champion has been down this road one too many times before.
Just last year, in fact, fans thought that his Intercontinental Title victory over The Miz at No Mercy was going to lift Ziggler out of his rut and in turn catapult him to greater things - only for him to drop the belt back to the same opponent a month later.
If we preclude the possibility of the 37-year-old actually retiring from the sport (which seems unlikely given his out-of-kayfabe comments earlier this year) then he has to come back at some point - and the Rumble is usually the place for surprise returns.
