10 Shocks WWE Could Pull At SummerSlam 2018

3. The Miz Beats Daniel Bryan

The Shock:

At the dramatic climax of 2018's most anticipated feud, effectively built via Tuesday's great vignettes in which honestly 98% of the footage was assembled from angles that happened before we even arrived at 2018, The Miz wins. Daniel Bryan does not get to punch The Miz in the face; he is distracted, by Miz's kid on the TitanTron or something, and loses.

The Likelihood: 60%

It would be bloody depressing if he did. It's quite nice believing in the impossible, realised dreams of a genuinely nice man who also happens to be a massively talented pro wrestler.

Daniel Bryan, per the Wrestling Observer, is "90%" certain of signing his contract imminently. He just needs to cross a few t's, dot a few i's, perhaps make sure his momentum isn't stalled by getting his hand held by Big f*cking Cass in sh*tty matches that are entirely beneath him. If he doesn't win at SummerSlam, and there's actually a reasonable case that he shouldn't, he will inevitably win what has the potential to be the best Hell In A Cell match in forever.

If he loses that, then cancel your Network subscription.
