10 Shocks WWE Could Pull At The Greatest Royal Rumble

7. Fight Or Flight

Shinsuke Nakamura

A dream match only so far contested under Lucha Underground and WCPW banners, an extended battle between Rey Mysterio and Ricochet seems something WWE would be mad to pass up on, especially with both on good terms and the payroll respectively with WWE. A teaser trailer for the main feature from the human highlight reels would be a welcome addition to the Greatest Royal Rumble.

Ricochet’s NXT debut (and follow-up television match) featured a succession of surprise spots and flights of fancy - inch perfect introductions to those that had never seen one of the industry’s most revolutionary aerialists in some time. Era-defining battles with Will Ospreay loom online for new fans to deep dive into to expand their own horizons in the meantime.

Against established king of the skies Rey Mysterio, Ricochet could fight to prove that he really is the ‘One And Only’ in a glorious Past Vs Present battle royal face-off. The briefer the better - there’s money on the table in an extended programme between the pair, but the potential for their first meeting taking place in front of such a mammoth crowd seems too great to waste.
