10 Short-Lived WWE Gimmicks You Totally Forgot About
7. Key (Vic Grimes)
Imagine a wrestling stable of colourful characters featuring men called Key, Prince Albert and Droz. Fans who watched during the cherished Attitude era don't need to. They were there when it happened, but most have probably blocked the first guy's brief run from their brains completely.
Who can blame them?
As strange as it may sound now, Key wasn't an out-of-place gimmick during that period. He was cast as a drug dealer who planned to war with The Godfather (a pimp), presumably over some shady dealings outside the ring. It was classic Vince Russo-era gimmickry, and it gave Vic Grimes a chance to show what he could do in the WWF.
When Godfather went down with an injury however, his time in the sun was over. Key was sent to ECW for further seasoning, and he'd later join Da Baldies faction before carving out a niche for himself as someone who'd willingly take hellish bumps.
