Retired from April 2, 2017 to April 8, 2018

This one's a little tricky because we can't be sure if Mark Calaway's retirement was kayfabe or not. It certainly looked that way, going into and coming out of it.

The Undertaker was a multi-time world champion and Royal Rumble winner and presided over a legendary 21-0 WrestleMania undefeated streak. 'The Deadman's Hall of Fame induction can't come soon enough. It'll be well deserved when it happens.

When Brock Lesnar broke that streak at WrestleMania XXX though, fans knew that Undertaker's days were numbered. He continued as a part-time performer, feuding with Brock, Bray Wyatt and Shane McMahon before entering a short feud with Roman Reigns in 2017. This culminated in a final WrestleMania main event for Undertaker at the 33rd show, losing to 'The Big Dog' and symbolically leaving his trademark hat and coat in the ring. A WrestleMania Moment worthy of the title, this looked like the Deadman's last ride.

Then WrestleMania 34 rolled around, and John Cena fell to Undertaker in three minutes. It was made clear that The Undertaker was indeed retired - Roman Reigns tacitly bragged about retiring The Undertaker. We should know not to trust Vince by now.
