10 Shortest Women's Championship Reigns In WWE History
7. Velvet McIntyre - 6 Days
Title: WWF Women's Championship
The oft-forgotten but highly underrated Velvet McIntyre was just the fourth (recognised) women's champion in WWE history.
The barefoot Irishwoman snared redemption for her defeat at WrestleMania 2 at the hands of The Fabulous Moolah, winning the title from the same woman just two months later at a house show in Brisbane, Australia.
Of all places.
McIntyre's glory would be short-lived though, dropping the strap back to Moolah six days later in Sydney on the same tour.
A neat little titbit: these two switches are the only times in company history that the Women's Championship has changed hands in the Southern Hemisphere.
McIntyre's stint with the WWF wasn't too much longer than her run with the belt. She returned to the Canadian independent scene where she had already become, and would continue to solidify herself as, a legend of the area in the women's division.
Moolah even stated years later that she believed her to be the best female wrestler in Canada.
