Title: WWE Women's Championship

There's a bit of speculation surrounding this one that it was actually an accidental title change, which was simply corrected later in the evening, instead of running with it.

Title-holder Melina was set to defend her belt in a triple threat match involving Mickie James and Victoria at a live event in Paris.

James proceeded to pin Victoria to win the title. All is well and good.

Things went a bit left though when Jonathan Coachman appeared at some point after that during the show (the details vary depending on the report you read), announcing that because Melina wasn't the one to lose her belt, she was being given a rematch that same night.

Lo and behold, roughly an hour after she'd lost it, Melina regained the championship with a rope-assisted pin.

This gives James the distinction of owning the shortest reign in the original women's championship history.

The speculation mentioned at the top related to reports that the pin on Victoria for the first title change was actually an error, and that the ref had made a mistake counting the three.

Others claim it was just a way to keep the mystery of house shows alive with a couple of cheeky title changes.

In any case, James has her name in the record books because of it.
