10 Shortest WWE Championship Reigns Of All Time

8. 15 Days - Kurt Angle

At number eight, we have the 15-day reign€”held by Kurt Angle. Back at Unforgiven 2001, Angle forced Stone Cold Steve Austin to submit to win his second WWE Championship€”cuing widespread celebration in front of a hometown Pittsburgh crowd. But given that the victory came during the height of the treacherous Invasion storyline, and thus it was always going be a rather short-lived affair. Just over two weeks later Angle lost the belt to the very same man on Monday Night Raw. The defeat was anything but a clean one though. Commissioner William Regal cost the Olympic Gold medallist his title by striking him with the gold itself, before Austin hit the stunner for the 1-2-3. It was Angle who would get the last laugh though. Having followed Regal€™s lead and jumped ship to the Alliance, Angle then reverted back to his true colours to gift the WWF the victory in the Winner Take All match at Survivor Series. Nonetheless, that doesn€™t stop angle from being the only man to ever clock in with a 15-day reign, though he very nearly had some company here.
