10 Shortest WWE Championship Reigns
5. Randy Orton: 22 Minutes, 55 Seconds
No Mercy 2007 saw Triple H earn the 'distinction' of seventh shortest reign in WWE championship history but he didn't even have the shortest reign of the evening. That dubious honour went to Randy Orton.
Following John Cena's injury, the PPV kicked off with Mr McMahon and Raw General Manager William Regal awarded the title to the scheduled No 1 contender, Randy Orton. But his reign was to be short lived, as Triple H challenged him to a match there and then, which Orton lost to clock in a reign which lasted less than 25 minutes.
As already mentioned though, Orton would redeem himself and recapture the WWE championship once again before the end of the evening.
