10 Shortest WWE Championship Reigns

4. Daniel Bryan: 4 Minutes, 7 Seconds

Daniel Bryan didn't have a great deal of luck with WWE championship reigns.

His first reign, in particular, was a highly frustrating one. After his popularity soared in 2013, Bryan was given the opportunity to challenge John Cena for the WWE championship at Summerslam; and in a tremendous main event match, Bryan actually won.

His glory was very short lived, however. As confetti rained down and Bryan celebrated his first ever WWE title win, Orton strolled out with his Money in the Bank briefcase. Special guest referee Triple H then turned heel on Bryan and pedigreed him in the centre of the ring, allowing Orton to cash in his contract and pick up the easy WWE title win.

It may not have been the WWE's ultimate plan, but this Summerslam screwjob did at least lead to a great WrestleMania XXX built around Daniel Bryan and his attempts to get revenge over The Authority and Randy Orton and win the WWE championship.
