10 Shortest WWE Championship Reigns
2. Yokozuna: 2 Minutes, 6 Seconds
One of the most infamous short title reigns in WWE history, Yokozuna found himself on the unfortunate end of one of the worst conclusions to a WrestleMania ever.
At WrestleMania 9, Yokozuna defeated Bret Hart to win the WWE championship after Yoko's manager Mr Fuji threw salt in the eyes of 'The Hitman'. It was a monumental rise to the top for Yokozuna, who had only debuted in WWE five months prior.
Unfortunately, backstage politics meant that his reign wouldn't last long as Hulk Hogan strolled out to protest on behalf of Bret Hart. Naturally, Hogan was then granted his own shot at the WWE title right then and there, which he won in quick fashion with a legdrop.
Hogan's fifth WWE championship reign was anything but memorable, as he made few appearances with the belt. After he supposedly refused to lose the title to the smaller Hart, Hogan lost the strap back to Yokozuna at King of the Ring before leaving the company.
