10 SICK & TWISTED Wrestling Funerals

2. Al Wilson Is Stiff

The last night of the bizarre Al Wilson angle saw Torrie Wilson and Dawn Marie at long last get to the point of physical violence after Marie had shagged both Father and Daughter - the former with fatal consequences.

A series of unfortunate events between the three of them resulted in a grim fight by an open casket, but it hardly shocked and appalled after the other scenes that had taken place to get them there.

After months of ludicrous acting and set pieces, Wilson meeting his maker was sort of the only final destination for the angle to reach. But it got so silly that it might have in fact been a trojan horse all along - the Paul Heyman-penned story occurred as an obvious distraction piece for Vince McMahon as he enjoyed the rotation of matches featuring his fabled SmackDown Six.

That era lives long in the minds of fans years later. It's a shame the same couldn't be said for poor old Al.
