10 Sickening In-Ring Injuries You Won't Believe Stars Wrestled Through

7. The Undertaker Breaks His Orbital Bone

The Undertaker has battled some of the biggest, baddest opponents in wrestling history during his lengthy career. He's slayed giants and brought down one monster after the next. He's also suffered a string of injuries. Mabel once broke his cheek bone, he was burned by his own pyrotechnic display at Elimination Chamber 2010, and he's endured a string of hip and back injuries that few could bear.

But it was the 175 lb. Rey Mysterio Jr. who may have given him his scariest injury. During a match on SmackDown, the two were battling for a shot to enter a Fatal Four Way match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Late in the match, Mysterio was taking control and jumped off the ropes right onto 'Taker's face. It was one of his signature moves, but on this occasion Rey landed too hard, and 'Taker's face took the brunt of the blow. He was slow to get up, and looked dazed as blood began to pour. His orbital bone had just been broken, and he was suffering the effects from a concussion.

Somehow, he was able to finish the match, and put Rey away. Unfortunately, he was unable to advance into the four way, as the injury took him out of action.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
