10 Sickest WWE Injuries Of 2014

5. Ryback

Ryback has been a fan favourite since he first started demolishing enhancement talent and leading arenas in cries of €œFeed Me More!€ He€™s got the incredible physique that WWE love, but also the charisma and charm that a lot of big guys often lack, and always connects with the WWE Universe in a real way. Even when he turned heel, he just unlocked a new section of fans as his interactions with tag team partner Curtis Axel appealed to the older, more internet savvy fan. A lot of these segments were WWE App exclusives, and were shared virally on social media not unlike the tape-trading scene of the eighties and nineties. In late August, Ryback posted a video shot from his hospital bed revealing he€™d been wrestling with a strained groin and two sports hernias for around seven months, and was finally taking time off to get surgery and heal. Even in hospital, Ryback cuts an incredibly entertaining promo, and he closed it by promising to come back in a big way. He lived up to his promise when he returned this past month and was immediately courted by both Team Authority and Team Cena for their Survivor Series teams. It seems like Ryback€™s time off from TV has been more beneficial than not, as it€™s allowed WWE to restart his career and have another crack at making him the main event talent he has the potential to be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqAOMnTDwQw
