10 Signs WWE Divas Division Is About To Change
2. Women Do Wrestle In The Main Event In WWE, Just Not On Raw
As mentioned, NXT is a hot commodity. It's so hot, in fact, that its left the Full Sail University campus in Winter Park, Florida to see other parts of the world. In May 2015, NXT arrived to the tri-state area, hitting Philadelphia, Pennsylvania not once but twice because ticket demand was so astronomical.
During the inaugural Philly performance, it wasn't Kevin Owens in the main event. It wasn't Finn Balor or Sami Zayn or Hideo Itami. It was Sasha Banks versus Charlotte for an epic NXT Women's Championship rematch. Sure, you could kind of tell that Charlotte wasn't likely to win the strap back, both because it was a house show and because she's past that. However, the bout was anything but predictable.
The two women brought the house down, making NXT's first trip to Philly a wild success. Triple H had the good sense to trust his talented women wrestlers to send everyone home happy, and it worked beautifully. Once upon a time, Trish Stratus and Lita wrestled in the main event on an episode of Raw. This could happen again. If Triple H allows the NXT women's talent to close out an episode of NXT, WWE will have no choice but to follow suit.
