5. Jeff And Karen And Kurt
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5kyf5wc2ps What's more fun than watching a married man battle his wife's recent ex? Well, just about everything! In real life, Kurt Angle and Karen Angle were married for years. She eventually became an on-air character and acted as his manager. Unfortunately, the two were divorced in 2008. While they were separated, Karen became romantically involved with TNA founder Jeff Jarrett. The two married the following year. Since this was obviously not an ideal situation, Dixie Carter suspended Jeff from TV. When he returned, he battled Kurt Angle. It was tacky to say the least. Wrestling is obsessed with reality like absolutely no other scripted show on TV. On Dexter, the lead actor Michael C. Hall got married to his storyline sister Jennifer Carpenter in real life. Of course, this was not mentioned in any way on the actual show, as it would have been weird and pointless. But not in wrestling. The Angle/Kurt/Karen love triangle was a top feud in the company for months, because it was based off of a real life incident. Who cares? Only people behind the scenes do. Even worse was when the children were brought into the fold. There were multiple segments that took place in the Jarrett home that starred Kurt and Karen's young kids. One of the segments had Jeff going around the table asking everyone what they were grateful for. He asked Angle's daughter Kyra what she was grateful for, and she said that Jeff is "her big sunshine." And then they had his son Kody hold up a Jeff Jarrett action figure. Yuck. Considering the children probably didn't have much of a choice in being involved in this feud with their divorced parents, it remains one of the most uncomfortable and idiotic feuds in wrestling history.
Andrew Soucek
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
