10 Sleaziest Ever TNA Moments

3. Firing Jesse Sorensen

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVVy54LSMQ0 When you step inside of a wrestling ring to perform, you have to know that there's a chance that you'll be horribly injured. It's happened far too many times in the past for the talent not to be aware of that fact. But you would hope that when a wrestler is hurt, that the company he or she works for will take care of them. In TNA, that's rarely the case, unless you're a top star. Case in point: Jesse Sorensen. Jesse was in his early 20s when he was signed by TNA. Management took a liking to him and started to give him a decent push. Things were going fine, until he competed in a number one contender's match against Zema Ion at Against All Odds 2012. During the match, Ion dove off the top rope, and Jesse wasn't properly positioned to take the bump. He ended up getting hit with Ion's knees, and fractured a vertebrae in his neck. It was a devastating injury for the young rookie, and it could have potentially paralyzed him. Thankfully, he was able to walk again and even planned on wrestling for TNA again one day. In the meantime, he worked behind the scenes for the company. According to Jesse, Dixie Carter had promised him a job there for life. Well, she fell a bit short of that promise. In 2013, he was released from his contract, and was without a job. He had tons of medical bills to pay and not a lot of options. It's too bad that his pay in TNA was so horrible, as he wasn't even able to save up money in case of unemployment. He later stated he was making $30,000 a year and had to take on a part time job waiting tables. Fans were understandably upset that Dixie let him go, and it only further damage any goodwill the company had built with fans over the years.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
