10 Spine-Chilling WWE Calls You'll Never Forget

3. "Stone Cold Is Shaking Hands With Satan Himself!"

Most sensible WWE fans agree that WrestleMania X-Seven was the single greatest show the company has ever put on. It had the best matches, the best moments, the best soundtrack, and - crucially - the best commentary.

At ringside in Houston was an uber-heel Paul Heyman, playing cheerleader for just about every bad guy on the card, and of course, Jim Ross, who gave us one of his most legendary calls in the main event after watching Stone Cold strike a dirty deal with Vince McMahon.

Apart from his stellar acting ability, it really spoke to what a sharp eye JR has for the wrestling business. He identified right away that a moment as huge as Steve Austin turning heel for the first time since his mega-push in '97 needed an equally huge reaction from the broadcast team.

And he gave us one. "Stone Cold is shaking hands with Satan himself," he screamed down the microphone; words that - however unwise a move making the Texas Rattlesnake a bad guy may have proved in the years ahead - will stay with every single Attitude Era obsessive for the rest of their lives.
