10 Stars That Are Definitely Future WWE Hall Of Famers
6. Randy Orton
Randy Orton, the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in WWE history (and second youngest World Champion in wrestling overall after Lou Thesz), was always going to have a great run in the WWE. Like most third generation wrestlers, Ortons timing and positioning are never short of perfect and he has ring savvy and presence to spare. He may have spent the last couple of years running in place to some extent, but that hasnt stopped the WWE chucking Championship belts at him like a ticker day parade. If anything, Ortons problem was that he peaked a little too soon, becoming the best young heel in the company without a babyface on his skill level to truly compliment him. However, Orton works well with opponents of nearly any size/style (he has engaged in some thrilling bouts with both Rey Mysterio and Daniel Bryan) and he stands poised to inherit Triple Hs legacy as the WWEs top heel for the next few years at least. Orton is one of the most successful WWE wrestlers of the modern era, so it is only a matter of time before he is inducted. He has a good few years in him yet (hopefully) and will continue to be a thorn in the side of WWE babyfaces for years to come, but you can expect an induction to come along within a couple years of his eventual retirement, barring any unforeseen bag pooping incidents, of course...
I am a professional author and lifelong comic books/pro wrestling fan. I also work as a journalist as well as writing comic books (I also draw), screenplays, stage plays, songs and prose fiction.
I don't generally read or reply to comments here on What Culture (too many trolls!), but if you follow my Twitter (@heyquicksilver), I'll talk to you all day long!
If you are interested in reading more of my stuff, you can find it on http://quicksilverstories.weebly.com/ (my personal site, which has other wrestling/comics/pop culture stuff on it).
I also write for FLiCK http://www.flickonline.co.uk/flicktion, which is the best place to read my fiction work.
Oh yeah - I'm about to become a Dad for the first time, so if my stuff seems more sentimental than usual - blame it on that!
Finally, I sincerely appreciate every single read I get. So if you're reading this, thank you, you've made me feel like Shakespeare for a day! (see what I mean?)
Latcho Drom,
