10 Steps In Re-Booking The Undertaker Vs. Brock Lesnar WrestleMania XXX Feud
3. Have Lesnar 'Injure' Undertaker's Right Arm
When Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012, his MMA reputation came with him. His character and match style shifted towards a more submission-oriented philosophy, and no maneuver exemplified this mentality more than his Kimura lock. When Lesnar ‘broke’ HHH’s arm, it amplified Lesnar’s already-high legitimacy many times over, and his feud with HHH had an additional element of drama to it.
In keeping with that storyline element, during another short brawl, Lesnar would get Undertaker in the Kimura lock and wrench his right arm in such a way to present it as injured, but not broken. Undertaker would scream to sell the pain, and doctors would rush to his aid.
Of course, afterwards, Undertaker would come out and announce that he’d still fight Lesnar, even with an injured arm.
This would not only maintain Undertaker’s toughness while still protecting Lesnar’s, but it would also add another crucial element of drama to their eventual match. Since most of Undertaker’s signature offense requires the use of one (or both arms), damaging that arm would bring more curiosity to fans who’d want to see how Undertaker would cope with this setback at WrestleMania XXX.
None of the Undertaker's opponents had ever tried do hurt him or target a body part in the build-up to WrestleMania. Doing so in Lesnar's case would not only further amplify his legitimacy, but it would also further present him as a unique challenger for the Streak.
