It's been two months at this point, and after seeing this new NWO-style group form in NXT, Finn Balor is met backstage by a healthy and ready-to-fight Hideo Itami. Itami says that he knows that he and Balor have had problems, but this is bigger than that. A plan is set for a tag match at a major NXT show where Balor and Itami will team against Joe and Cesaro (if Joe or Cesaro pin Balor, they earn an NXT Championship shot), while likely then NXT Tag Champs Amore and Cassady will wrestle Sandow and Axel for the belts, while Baron Corbin would wrestle Tyler Breeze. Triple H again gets involved and says that if any of the babyfaces win, they're immediately guaranteed an opportunity on Raw, and that again, the heels they defeat will be fired. Corbin defeats Breeze. Axel and Sandow win cleanly and become NXT Tag Champs. Samoa Joe hits Balor with the Muscle Buster and pins him cleanly.
